Fabulous fundraisers, Dedicated Family Web Page, Presidential Election & Lots of great events..
Despite the unusually wet and windy weather, the sun has shined brightly on the whole area of Mental Health this May.
As April drew to a close we wrapped on 2 fantastic webinars Trauma and Recovery and Compassionate Support for anxious children and teens, which cumulatively have had over 1500 views and continue to grow as you can catch them both on playback.
Fabulous fundraisers
Momentum didn’t stop there! Our fundraisers were out in force, with Siobhan O’Connor bravely shaving her head to raise €3,530.
Demi McDonnell, with the help of Dash Container and her friends and family, met for a socially distanced walk and chat and raised over €2,000
Irish girl band The Skatuesques supported by Driving Force Ireland, wrote ”Over Thinking” a song about mental health and are kindly donating their proceeds to Mental Health Ireland, check out their video by clicking on their image
We Are Family
With our firm belief, backed by research, that mental health challenges affect the person and their loved one’s, not to mention ongoing feedback from our development officers, families, and carers, we created a dedicated web-page as a full resource for families to find help, information, training and the tools they need when facing a challenge. You can watch the launch of the web-page by clicking on the family tree design, designed by our Head Of E-Training, Sonia Rennicks
Resources at your fingertips
We have so many training sessions, workshops and webinars and work with various partners to achieve this. We understand that its not always easy to attend something or perhaps you want to go back over what you learned with us. That is why we have developed a dedicated resource section to the website so that you will find Videos, Booklets, Resource Packs, Podcasts and Webinars
Presidential Announcement
And last but certainly not least, we celebrated Mental Health Europe with their annual mental health awareness week (May 10th -16th) to then find our our very own Catherine Brogan (Deputy CEO of Mental Health Ireland) has been elected as President for Mental Health Europe. We couldn’t be more proud of Catherine and excited to see what she brings to her 3-year term.
