1	Mental Health Commission The Mental Health Commission promotes high standards in the delivery of mental health services and ensures the interests of those involuntarily admitted to Approved Centres are protected.	173
2	Health Service Executive Established in January 2005, the Health Service Executive is the single body responsible for public health and personal social services in Ireland. It provides these services through a network of Local Health Office, health centres and clinics.	122
3	Department of Health and Children The Department of Health and Children's statutory role is to support the Minister in the formulation and evaluation of policies for the health services. It also has a role in the strategic planning of health services. This is carried out in conjunction with the Health Service Executive, voluntary service providers, Government Departments and other interested parties.	117
