104 local Mental Health Associations are operating around the country and are engaged in a range of activities and services in promoting mental health and supporting those with mental illness. While autonomous and determining their own activities and undertaking fund-raising locally, each local Mental Health Association is affiliated to Mental Health Ireland, and supports the objectives and policies of the national body.
